Under the guidance and supervision of professional ceramicist Ewelina Birut-Hadjimanolis (BA + MA Ceramic Art & Design at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw) and Manolis Hadjimanolis (BA Fine Art, MA Visual Culture / Art history / Art theory), the participants are introduced and gradually trained in practical and applied methods of traditional as well as contemporary craftsmanship.

Our classes and workshops are technically and historically informed and are suitable for both beginners and advanced.

Techniques: pinching / slab building / coil building / potter’s wheel / glazing / paint glazing / sgraffito / decoration with engobes and oxides

We work with well-structured and demonstrative teaching methods, following the guidelines of carefully designed lesson plans, while at the same time focusing on a personal approach towards each participant. The need for engaging with handcrafts seems to be more and more in demand in our times, as a positive reaction against industrilized products, consumerism and sedentary lifestyle. Through the course of this workshop, we focus on the awakening of the creative impulse and at the same time the development of skills, to achieve a creative and positive state of mind within a calm and homely environment.
